American Hydrocarbons/Haltermann Solutions and CFR Engines Inc. Announce Alliance for Global Distribution of Primary Reference Fuels

American Hydrocarbons/Haltermann Solutions and CFR Engines Inc. (CFR®) are pleased to announce an alliance for distribution of Primary Reference Fuels (PRF) on a global basis.

Under the multi-year agreement, CFR – a world class manufacturer and designer of Octane, Cetane, and Aviation fuel rating test instruments used for the certification of Octane, Diesel, and Aviation fuels – will act as the exclusive global Distributor for all American Hydrocarbons/Haltermann Solutions PRF’s outside of the United States.

American Hydrocarbons/Haltermann Solutions will continue to manufacture PRF’s in Houston, Texas.

Now Directly Serving All U.S. and Canada Customers!

Effective January 18, 2023, Haltermann Solutions has eliminated the middleman and is now directly serving customers in all 50 United States and Canada.

We invite all our customers in United States and Canada to order directly from our Customer Service Team. In addition, customers west of the Rockies have the option of reaching out directly to Joe Latorre, National Accounts Manager, via email or by calling 313-407-1343.

Brissa De Anda is Helping Haltermann Redefine the Meaning of Customer Service

When Customer Service Representative, Brissa De Anda, joined the Haltermann team on June 7, 2021, she hit the ground running. Within a few short months of training, she was performing her responsibilities independently and already proving a leadership mentality that simply can’t be taught. One year later, the entire Haltermann team has felt the impact of her presence — and she’s just getting started.

“As soon as she came on, Brissa took the bull by the horns and was a leader in her own right,” Angela Prazak, Manufacturing & Supply Chain Leader, explained. “She’s been a great asset to the team since day one, and people across departments have looked up to her for her work ethic and initiative.”

Bringing previous logistics experience to her initial responsibilities at Haltermann, Brissa could jump right in on assisting site carriers, and soon after, help with expanding the team's fleet of carrier partners, which presented more opportunities for bulk shipments. But despite an official title in the Customer Service category, Brissa is still very much involved in logistics — among a number of other important areas.

“I wear a lot of hats outside the typical customer service world,” Brissa explained. “I’m very much involved in many aspects of our pricing, orders, and the systems that we use. CSRs are the ones providing customers with the quotes and communicating orders, and I enjoy helping the team improve those processes because those improvements make our entire customer experience better.”

And the team’s new tax software is the perfect example of that.

“Matt Overaker, Tax Director, implemented a new tax software which helped us take a completely manual, spreadsheet-heavy process and automate it, saving us remarkable amounts of time and effort.” Angela shared. “Brissa tested the new platform in terms of inputting quotes and orders that helped us address all the issues to get everything running smoothly.”

Matt added, “Brissa’s help was effective during the implementation of new tax software at Haltermann Solutions especially during the testing and training phases of the project. Brissa’s keen attention to transactional details was critical to complete the project.”

In addition to her daily responsibilities as CSR, Brissa has also taken on the role of trainer for new members of the department — one in which fellow employees praise Brissa for her ability to educate in a highly effective way —one that creates ripple effects.

“She has such a great attitude and is so passionate about our growth and development as a company — which includes the people within it,” said Angela. “ Brissa is always looking at processes to figure out better ways to make them work, and sharing her knowledge in a way team members can understand and benefit from too. It’s addictive: they want to follow her lead, which is such a positive thing for our team engagement.”

And that’s all just in one year’s work — there’s only more to come in this inspiring CSR’s future at Haltermann.

“I love that everyone can be in charge of our own roles here at Haltermann,” Brissa shared. “We have the ability to bring questions to the table, voice our opinions, and make important decisions, regardless of your level or role. That culture drives me to want to keep finding ways to improve and allows me to really have a meaningful impact in the process.”

Haltermann Solutions Launches New Products Under AmericanSolution™ Brand

Haltermann Solutions is proud to announce a new family of laboratory chemical products that will be sold under the AmericanSolution™ brand. The AmericanSolution™ brand will allow our customers to obtain the laboratory chemicals they need in an easier and more cost-effective manner.

Labs all over the world rely on Haltermann Solutions for our primary reference fuels. Now, our customers can rely on us for common laboratory reagents like Acetone, Toluene, and Isopropanol.

Driven by the needs of our customers, our team wanted to expand our offerings to become not only a one-stop shop for fuels, but also a source for the laboratory chemicals our customers are already consuming. These chemicals are produced by Monument Chemical (similar ownership as Haltermann Solutions). The first batch of lab chemicals available under the AmericanSolution™ brand will be available for sale in 55-gallon drums beginning in January 2022.

“This is a great first step for us because these are chemicals we know our customers currently need,” explained Indresh Mathur, Director of Research and Development at Haltermann Solutions. “Most reagent chemical suppliers buy their raw materials from a manufacturer like us and repackage them in varying grades to resell to our customers at a much higher price point. We wanted to start a family of chemicals that our customers can get directly from us for a much better value.”

The Game Plan...

Step one is ensuring our current customers have first access to these new chemicals. With a majority of our primary reference fuel customers already in need of these products, this launch is not only the perfect kindling to kick off our expansion, but also a great way to meet customer needs with a more affordable alternative to their current suppliers.

What’s Next...

Plans to expand the AmericanSolution™ chemicals to new customers, as well as to offer smaller packages, are in progress.

“We’re looking into other chemicals that we either already have or are within the Monument family,” Indresh said. “Eventually, we want to provide these chemicals to our customers in whatever quantities they need as an alternative to having to turn to other suppliers for smaller volumes – saving them even more time and money.”

All of these expanded offerings complement our long-term vision to be more than just a reference fuel supplier.

“We want to diversify and grow our business – in ways that benefit both Haltermann and our customers,” Indresh added. “In the near future, we’re aiming to expand into different markets, such as beauty salons and the food and beverage industry. This is really just the beginning of becoming a complete resource for our current and future customers.”
